NSV and Civic Elections

During the 2008 civic election, the NSV network articulated a number of critical questions for candidates and compiled their responses, which served to evaluate candidates for voter endorsement and as a basis upon which to evaluate the actions of those who were elected. (See for example the “Election 2008 Questionnaire Results” on this page.)

During the 2011 civic election NSV ran five candidates and also endorsed six candidates from other parties (possibly the first time in Vancouver history) to complete a slate for Mayor and Council. With a five-week campaign on a budget just a fraction of the size of Vision Vancouver and the NPA civic parties, NSV’s five candidates turned in astounding results (see post-election statement on achievements).
